To facilitate press-fitting, it is sometimes advisable to employ a cone-shaped pressing cylinder, the large end of which ensures the part will enter the mounting seat, whilst the small end (which is as close to the size of the mounting seat opening as possible) facilitates insertion of the silent block itself (fig. 7). The small end of the cone-shaped pressing cylinder must fit into the upper part of the mounting seat opening (a small bead 3 mm in length and an external diameter 0.5 mm smaller than the entry hole of the arm or rod are sufficient).
